Some jobs get turned down because they're just a little more involved than a standard install. This was one of those jobs. Another company passed on it - the curve in the rail was the sticking point. The customer had a clear picture in their head of what they wanted, and we were happy to make it happen.

The challenge here was building a handrail that could follow the natural angle of the staircase while also bending to meet the layout of the surrounding brick wall. That's not something you can pull off with off-the-shelf parts. It takes real fabrication work - bending the top rail to match the geometry of the space and making sure every vertical baluster lines up clean the whole way down.

What we ended up with is a solid black steel handrail that fits the space like it was always meant to be there. The top rail follows the pitch of the steps, the balusters are evenly spaced, and the whole thing is anchored tight. No wobble, no compromise on the design, no shortcuts.

This is exactly the kind of work we do with custom handrail fabrication and installation. If the shape is unusual, the staircase is curved, or the layout just doesn't play well with standard options - that's where mobile welding comes in. We build it to fit your space, not the other way around.

A lot of homeowners don't realize a custom rail is even an option when another contractor says no. It usually is. The difference is just finding someone willing to actually work through the details and get the fit right.
