Not every job happens in a shop. This one was right on the water - docked alongside the American Symphony riverboat with the Nashville skyline lit up behind us at sunrise. That's exactly the kind of call we live for.
The gangway had taken some real damage at its structural connection points. The aluminum framing was cracked and failing where it matters most - the load-bearing joints that take stress every time passengers walk on and off the vessel. That's not something you patch with a Band-Aid fix. It needed proper structural welding, done right, on-site.
We showed up with everything needed to handle it in place. No hauling the gangway off to a shop, no waiting around. Our mobile welding setup lets us bring the work to wherever the repair needs to happen - whether that's a job site, a driveway, or apparently, a riverboat dock at dawn.
The close-up welds tell the story. Tight, clean passes laid down on the aluminum frame where the cracks had worked their way through the structural sections. The pivot and connection hardware at the base of the gangway got the same attention - reinforced and solid before we packed up.
This is what mobile welding and structural repair is all about. When something critical needs to be fixed and it can't come to you, we come to it. Doesn't matter if it's a piece of equipment, a trailer, or a one-of-a-kind job on the river in Nashville.
